There are 3 methods to put together a Wi-Fi repeater setup recommended by Huawei according to their equipment. Now we will go over the ways to apply these changes to your internet routers.
Method 1: Use the H (Hi) or WPS button.
(Only applies to Huawei HiLink router and Huawei HiLink LTE CPE)
Configure the router. First, place the Huawei Wi-Fi extender within 1 meter of the router and connect it to the power supply.
Wait 1 minute until the indicator on the router starts flashing, indicating that the router has detected the extender.
Press the H (Hi) or WPS button on the router to initiate pairing. The indicator on the router should indicate that pairing is in progress.
Wait for the indicator on the extender to turn solid green. This indicates that the extender is connected to the router’s network.
Once the indicator turns green, do not turn off the power to the Huawei Wi-Fi extender immediately. Next, wait approximately one minute for the setup to complete.

Connect the extender to the power supply.
Connect your smartphone to the extender’s default Wi-Fi (No password required).
Enter the Huawei AI Life app. The format will detect the new extender automatically and show you on-screen instructions to go to:
Configure > Set up.
Select your router’s Wi-Fi network, enter the password and follow the steps to complete the setup.
Once the indicator turns green, do not turn off the power to your Huawei Wi-Fi extender immediately. Wait one minute until the setup is complete.
Once the pairing is complete, the Wi-Fi name and password on the extender should be the same as on the main router. You can place the Huawei Wi-Fi extender in a room or location with no Wi-Fi signal to extend the coverage of your main Wi-Fi network.
